June 30 Wapakoneta KOA Ohio

Arrived at our last stop before we head back to Henry's. We knew that today could be tricky since it is mostly on the I-70 interstate which is known to be busy, well lots of roadworks introduced at least  2 hour delay in getting to our destination with 2 devices(Waze and Garmin) offering alternate routes.

Anyhow got here safely and that is what matters.
This is the stop where we do some of the cleaning and washing as well as drain the tanks etc before putting the RV back in storage.
I can safely say that both Colleen and I had a wonderful relaxing holiday, we travelled lots of short trips with an unforgettable cruise to Alaska and a visit to my dear sister in Canada and were able to take in many new sites and sounds. On Monday we will stop at the truck wash to have the RV washed and then back to Henry.
Thanks for following us and cheers until next time, Dirk and Colleen

June 29 Crawfordsville KOA Indiana

Second last stop, easy 200 Mile journey but we could tell by the quality of the interstate that we had entered Indiana...

Planning to get back to Dayton by next Monday.

June 26 Hixton KOA Wisconsin

Today was a rest day, it rained most of the day so we did'nt get out much. The weather cleared in the afternoon so we could go for a walk to take some pics.
Some of the pictures are from our trip here that i did'nt post yesterday. We are rapidly nearing the end of our journey, hard to believe how the time has flown by, such is life if you are having a good time.

June 25 Hixton KOA Wisconsin

The last time we passed through Minneapolis/St Paul was in 2014 when Henry and Faye and ourselves did our GoWest tour, it was hosing with heavy rain all the way and we passed through the centre of Minneapolis. Well, today was  different, the weather was much better and my GPS guided us past the main centers along the I-694, no problem at all.
155 Miles later we arrived at the Hixton KOA, a very nice park from our 2014 memories.
We will spend 2 days here.

June 24 Minneapolis North West Koa Minnesota

Tough drive today, only 190 Miles but with lots of rain and roadworks as well as 2 Walmart stops looking for the right beer (important stuff). Spent 2 days at Wagner Campground, really neat and a lovely break. Tomorrow we move on to Hixton through the center of Minneapolis/St Paul, should be fun in the RV.

June 22 Wagner Campground Barnsville Minnesota

Today we had a 218 Mile drive, long for us, but relatively easy in the end because the North Dakota I-94 Interstate section is pretty flat and in good condition.  We are in a pretty park that is run by the Barnsville city and is beatifully quiet, we are staying here for 2 days because the KOA's further on are full for the weekend. Fortunately we booked ahead as this park only has 28 sites and no Wi-Fi or cable. Imagine my shock and horror when I discovered no signal on my AT&T phone, this is a first, however after propping the phone up near the roof of the RV a signal appeared. Great relief...

June 21 Bismarck North Dakota

Today being our rest day, we decided to go on the Riverboat Cruise, on the Missouri River.  Took an Uber to the dock, to find that the river has risen so high that they were having sand off loaded to build a ramp to the walkway.  Unfortunately this cruise wasn't like previous river cruises we have done in the past.  The sound system was so bad that we could not hear the narration and when the narration was over they proceeded to play the most the most terrible music at full volume.  We were very disappointed, but it was an interesting trip.  Took another Uber home.

June 20 Bismarck KOA North Dakota

Today was a short 100 Mile drive from Dickenson to Bismarck in North Dakota. The Interstate is fairly flat with few distinguising features so some of the farmers/towns have built some structures to add interest like the world's biggest cow statue.
We are taking a rest and staying here for two days.

June 19 Dickinson North Dakota

Decided to stop after 180 Miles at a very nice park in Dickenson North Dakota. Encountered some nice scenery on the way including the Painted Canyon.
