June 4, Seattle Washington
Our second to last port of call, before the end of our cruise, was Skagway. I've said before the pictures don't do the scenery justice. While in Skagway we went for a city tour, plus a visit to an old style bar, it was called, "Legends and Lies" good for a giggle. The story of the town was told, with singing and dancing, and we were taught to mix drinks of the day and drink them. Then left to decide if they were Legends or Lies.
We then had a day and a half at sea before docking in Victoria, BC., where we did a city tour on a double-decker bus. This is a really beautiful city, the gardens are magnificent. The last hop was to Seattle, through the night. The disembarkment was carried out with the usual efficiency and good planning that Princess Cruises is known for. What a wonderful week we had, we are very thankful that we were able to do this cruise.
After settling into our RV and catching up on a week's worth of laundry, we were ready this morning to tick off another item on our bucket list - The Boeing Factory. Although we had planned to drive to there in the RV, last night we decided to use Uber. It was the right decision, we awoke to grey skies and rain. Driving in the morning traffic in Seattle and rain is not fun. Apparently this is typical for Seattle weather, rain one moment then the sun comes out for a while, etc.
We both enjoyed the tour, but Dirk was in his seventh heaven.
